Disney Pixar connections you may not know about…

Over the years, Disney Pixar has created a variety of fantastic films. Fans all around the world have noticed certain Easter eggs, and have even created some of their own theories! Finally, they have revealed that most of their films are connected to each other and are based in the same reality, Here are some of them;

  1. The connection between Frozen and Tangled.

Frozen is one of the most successful Disney Pixar Movies and we were all excited when hearing that part 2 was coming out. Many people soon speculated the existence of a relationship between Tangled’s Rapunzel and sisters Elsa and Anna due to an appearance in the movie. At the start of the movie, in Elsa’s Coronation Day, we clearly see Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder arriving at the castle for the ceremony. In reality, fans believe that Rapunzel, Elsa and Anna are cousins, meaning that their mothers are sisters. This theory could actually be true, considering that both Rapunzel and Elsa have magical powers. Another fan theory consisted of Elsa and Anna’s parents dying on the way to Rapunzel’s Wedding, but this theory was quickly shut down after the real reason behind their death was revealed in Frozen 2.

  1. The connection Between The Little Mermaid and Hercules.

If you have ever learned about Greek Mythology, you can quickly recognize the connection between these two. Ariel’s father is Triton, Son of Poseidon, God of the Sea, and Hercules’s Father is Zeus. Poseidon and Zeus are known to be brothers, which means that Triton and Hercules are first cousins, and that would make Ariel and Hercules cousins. Even though their relationship is never mentioned in either movies, it can be quite easy to spot.

  1. Extra Easter Eggs

Easter Eggs are seen in almost every Pixar movie, and some are very noticeable to the audience, including:

  • Mary (also known as Boo) from Monsters Inc., is seen at the end of the movie giving Sulley a Nemo and Jessie Toy ( Finding Nemo had not been released at the time)

  • Producers always seem to include the number A113 in each film, as it is a very important number to them. (It’s been seen in Up, The Princess and The Frog, Toy Story, Cars, etc.)

  • Sulley from Monsters Inc. can be seen as a Carving in the Witches shop in the Movie Brave.

These are only some of the connections, theories, and easter eggs I’ve mentioned, and there are probably more to come in the future, which ones are your favourites?
