Nowadays, everything has changed. We can’t change the global pandemic, nor quarantine, however, we have the wisdom to control our behavior. Self-perception is vital for happiness, productivity, and our emotional state. So, what are you waiting for? Get up, show up, and get dressed!
Now, this doesn’t mean that comfy wear isn’t allowed; what matters is how you perceive yourself. According to “Brainfodder”1 in 2012, cognitive psychologists at Northwestern University took an experiment, in which they divided people into 2 groups; Group A, wearing street clothes, and Group B wearing street clothes and lab coats. Evidently, Group B made 50% fewer mistakes in a mental agility test. This led them to coin the term “Enclothed Cognition”, which displays that what we wear has a symbolic meaning to us and enhances our emotional state, changing the way we think, boosting our performance in life.
