Nowadays, everything has changed. We can’t change the global pandemic, nor quarantine, however, we have the wisdom to control our behavior. Self-perception is vital for happiness, productivity, and our emotional state. So, what are you waiting for? Get up, show up, and get dressed!

Now, this doesn’t mean that comfy wear isn’t allowed; what matters is how you perceive yourself. According to “Brainfodder”1 in 2012, cognitive psychologists at Northwestern University took an experiment, in which they divided people into 2 groups; Group A, wearing street clothes, and Group B wearing street clothes and lab coats. Evidently, Group B made 50% fewer mistakes in a mental agility test. This led them to coin the term “Enclothed Cognition”, which displays that what we wear has a symbolic meaning to us and enhances our emotional state, changing the way we think, boosting our performance in life.


“Getting dressed in the morning can play a role in your mood throughout the day and lead to further productivity, optimism, motivation, and an overall improved mood.”2 There is no need to wear suits nor elegant clothes. There are no rules, no dress codes. During this pandemic, most of us feel uninspired. Luckily, we have access to social media such as Pinterest, Tiktok, YouTube, Instagram which besides entertainment they keep us updated on new fashion trends.


If you are looking for any type of comfy clothes you can wear to clean, work, relax, I’ve got you covered. Oversized t-shirts and sweaters have been a mania in every country, they are perfect for quarantine daily wear, as well as the high waisted biker shorts which are excellent for workouts but even more stylish for pairing with baggy tees for indoor looks. Another great option is wearing joggers which spikes a sporty and cozy look. When

2020 started, only a few months later, tye-die emerged as one of the year’s biggest fashion trends. It’s a classic DIY! It's cheap and you are able to tie-dye any garment in your house. Finally, for a classy look, you can wear jewelry of any type together with the comfiest shoes, weather stylish sandals, or fur slippers to give you all the coziness; they are lightweight and super cute.


Men’s fashion has had a phenomenal adaptation to quarantine. The classic sweatpants set, that make you feel mostly dressed throughout the day for striking the perfect balance of comfort and style are 100% recommended. Totally worth the investment!Formal suede slippers are on its peak along with calf socks. To complete the wardrobe, anything oversized gives your basics an effortless stylish look .But still a prevailing tendency.


An overview of the cozy fashion trends both for men and women may potentially convince us to pull up new outfits with our current clothes and accessories. Don’t forget; You can have a truly comfortable look that will make you feel like you are wearing your comfiest pajamas, but looking totally pulled together, while benefiting your own self-perception.
