Recently, a Tik Tok video showing 85-year-old Pope Francis, the current leader of the Roman Catholic Church and the first South American pope, went viral. It has been about a month since the clip got released in which the Pope referenced his partiality to 'a little tequila' , and thousands of people have been tweeting, posting, and making memes about this amusing situation.
Pope Francis has been suffering from severe knee pain and discomfort. Recommendations made by medical experts include using a wheelchair, cane, or physical therapy to help him recover from his injury. However, when a group of Mexican seminarians talking about the importance of his presence regardless of his injury asked him “Pope Francis, how is your leg, your knee?”, he joked “You know what I need for my leg? A little tequila!”
According to the Associated Press report, “The 85-year-old Argentine pope has been suffering from strained ligaments in his right knee for months, and on doctors’ orders, recently has been using a wheelchair and a cane to get around so he can let it heal.” The limit on his mobility has prompted doubts and speculations about his health, but many are very happy to hear that a close collaborator told Associated Press News that Francis is “better than ever” and is undergoing physiotherapy for two hours a day.
