The company “Huawei” launched a new self-developed operating system called “HarmonyOS” that has been in development since 2016, and took off access to Google’s Android operating system.
HarmonyOS’s development started in 2016 and is an operating system that can work in many different Huawei devices. From smartphones to wearables and TV’s, these devices differentiate themselves from Google and Apple software. This can give developers the opportunity to create apps that work across different Huawei products. In fact, nearly 100 different Huawei products are set to support HarmonyOS, and nearly 300 millions of devices will have the HarmonyOS system this year.
Huawei’s goal is to connect all of their devices to the HarmonyOS systems. Devices that aren’t already on this system can also communicate with Huawei devices with a simple plug-in. For example, photos from a Windows-powered laptop can be saved directly onto a Huawei phone if the computer has the HarmonyOS plug-in installed.
